Many people believe that, if their service or product is good enough, then it will drive traffic to their website alone. But how? How are people supposed to know where to find your website if you don’t tell them about it?

Some of these hacks you may have already tried, some of them may be a welcoming breath of fresh air. Either way, when done right, these hacks work.

Now, before we jump in, we want to state that driving traffic to your website isn’t an overnight task. It takes time and patience. But with the hacks below, you may be surprised on how quickly they begin generating results!

Publish more content, regularly.

This is a really basic hack – but one that can be highly significant when it comes to boosting your website traffic. The reason for this is simple really, people will come to your blog to read fresh content and the more you post, the more visitors you will draw.

We recommend posting a new blog post at least once a week. If you can post daily then do it! But don’t fall into the dark hole of posting useless boring and rushed content. Keep your posts valuable to drive in quality traffic.

Promote your blog posts to your email list

Sending your subscribers newsletters is great – but if you’re just focusing on your product or services each and every week, it can become quite mundane for the reader. A great way of bringing your subscribers to your website each week is promoting your latest blog content to them.

This doesn’t have to be the main focus in all of your emails, but including a link or two back to your latest posts will increase traffic considerably – which means leads and conversions will increase too!

Include links to other posts on your blog

When you write a new blog post, always be sure to mention other posts that your readers may find useful; this is great for SEO as well as for increasing time-on-site, conversion rates, and referral traffic. A win-win hack!

Tag away!

Adding relevant title tags and Meta descriptions to your blog posts are a great way of boosting your content up the might Google ladder. You’re your tags relevant to your post and target audience. Also don’t forget to comb through your old posts to make sure they have unique and relevant title tags, URLS and Meta descriptions too.

Start a Facebook group that drives traffic to your site

When you become a Startup Active client; we invite you to join our client-based Facebook group. This is a great hub, where members can ask questions and get support and also allows us to promote our latest website content to our following.

This is a great tool in having all of your fitness clients in one place, allowing them to build friendships together and keep up to date with your latest classes, promotions and of course your latest posts.

Include your URL in your signature.

URLs in forum signatures are also a way to generate new traffic for free. There are fitness forums, which get millions of visitors a day and if you are a popular user on such a forum, you can use this to get traffic to your site.

When you post on forums and people like your posts, they tend to click the link to your site on your signature to learn more about you. In rare cases you might be able to post a deep link (i.e. a link to an internal page of the site) rather than a link to your homepage and this is also a way to focus attention to a particular page. Unfortunately, deep links are rarely allowed.

Also, don’t forget to add your URL to your email signature too.

Tweet Your Content More Than Once.

Ever posted an epic tweet for it to just fall flat on its face and get zero engagement? Well, unless your surname is Kardashian then your answer is most likely yes. But this happens to the majority of us.

Twitter gets updated very often and posts are likely to be missed. Which is why you shouldn’t limit yourself to posting your content just once. Post the same content link a number of times throughout the day. Use different titles and descriptions to see which works best to increase social media traffic – and add imagery to your tweets as it can increase engagement massively.

Create Videos On YouTube.

While you’d be forgiven for believing that Yahoo or Bing is the world’s 2nd biggest search engine after Google, in reality it’s YouTube.

YouTube has more searches than any site other than Google online. So it’s a great idea to create a YouTube channel with some of the keywords related to your website and services.

Fitness tutorials and techniques are highly viewed on YouTube so maybe consider creating some quick tip videos for your target audience. Or if you feel confident enough, create some vlogs (video blogs) taking about your services or client transformations etc.

Check out some programs like Gotcha or Camtasia to create a screencap.

You’d be amazed at how much consistent traffic a short video on YouTube can bring you especially over the long term as your video gains views and relevancy.
