It’s something we are doing constantly – measuring what we eat, and there are tonnes of ways to find out what is actually in the food that you’re consuming. One of the major players in the app world for this is MyFitnessPal, but there is a newbie on the scene that seems to make it all that little bit easier.
Introducing Spe.lt – a web app that instantly shows you the nutritional info for whatever food you want to search, from Asparagus to Big Macs!
Now we know all too well how difficult it can be to measure meals that aren’t usually consumed by the real world (yesterday we had turkey, egg whites and wasabi peas for dinner.) But Spe.lt allows you to create a list of foods to ensure an accurate reading of each meal. Perfect!
It’s simple, effective and somewhat beautiful to use.
Note: The developers do collect the information you type into the box to analyze what visitors are interested in. If you’re happy with that, it’s definitely worth having a try. It is free after all!
